Distance learning is not a new concept. Public-school-at-home via the internet is a relatively new concept. All your linked ads are public school masquarding as homeschooling.

Parents should look up the laws for their state and learn what *real* homeschooling is and is not.

Parents, if interest in Public-School-At-Home should ask the operators of the system they are interested in if they are accountable to the same standards (dumbing down) that brick and mortars are.

Homeschooling is NOT Public-School-At-Home. Take the time, learn the difference.

Thanks

Online schools are NOT homeschooling under most, if not all, state laws. They are either public or private schools that provide an in home service and are regulated either as public or private schools. Homeschoolers, for example, are exempt from most provisions of NCLB, while public schools, including online ones, are required to follow the same laws as any other public school in a state.

Please do not continue to tell parents who want to homeschool that public school is homeschooling, it only leads to parents who thought they were homeschooling being misled by the public education system, with their children receiving the same public school education they are trying to get away from. thanks.
