Is there a link between drinking water and weight loss? Yes and one that has been scientifically proven. Drinking water with or after food helps to bulk out our food, sending messages to the brain to say that we are full so we will eat less.

Water also helps in aiding the absorption of vitamins and minerals in our food. For example, fat needs water in order to be broken down and used by the body. Water also helps to flush out the waste material in our bodies and thus helps keep us in optimum health.

So how much should you be drinking and when. You should aim to drink at least 2 litres of water a day, more on hot days. You should spread your consumption throughout the day. There is no need to drink bottled water as in most areas tap water is perfectly safe. If you do prefer the bottled variety, steer clear of the flavoured ones. These products contain sweeteners which do not help with weight loss and may be carcinogenic.

Drinking water with lemon for weight loss is a factor of most detox diets. These diets work on the principle that we all have too many toxins in our body and every so often we should remove them.

The liver is the major detoxifying organ in your body. Its function is to remove toxins we ingest either via food, alcohol, medicines or from our environment. Lemons aid the liver in the detoxifying process and help to eliminate waste via the intestines.

Lemons contain a number of vitamins and minerals and thus a lemon water makes a good start to your day. Don’t make lemonade with them as the empty calories from the sugar will not aid your weight loss.

These fruit also have diuretic qualities so they help fight water retention, which can cause bloating. never mind add a few pounds to your waistline. But drinking lemon water on its own isn’t going to win your weight loss battle.

As with everything you need to look at your whole lifestyle. You need to increase the amount of physical activity you undertake while reducing your food consumption. We have become used to larger portion sizes and tend to overeat without realising it. Next time you are in a fast food restaurant and are tempted to go large for economical reasons, consider your waist line instead.

While many women may think they’re alone when it comes to having unwanted facial hair, there are actually millions of women who suffer with this problem. Many women will resort to shaving their faces to remove this unsightly hair, the problem with that solution is that it’s very short term so they have to do it frequently and that leads to skin irritation and rashes. A better alternative is facial hair waxing, and here’s why.

Waxing will remove not just the hair above the skin as shaving does, but it will also remove the roots of the hair. So instead of having to shave again in a few hours when the hair has already grown enough to be visible, it will take up to two months for the hair to grow enough to be seen above the skin.

To get the full benefit of waxing, follow these tips:

1. Let the hair on your face grow out a little bit if you’ve been shaving regularly. You will need enough hair for the wax to ‘grab’ onto in order for waxing to be as effective as possible.

Boils aren’t really what you’d consider one of life’s little joys, and having boils on buttocks is just so much worse. Talk about a mood killer. If you get a boil, particularly one ‘down under’ you’re going to want to get it healed up as soon as possible. In order to help your boil heal up there are some things you’re going to want to do and some things you should avoid at all costs or risk making things a lot worse.

Boils are infections that are caused by bacteria on the skin entering into the body through a cut. This cut can be something as small as a nick while shaving. The bacteria can be slowly building into an infection for up to two weeks before anything is noticeable on your skin. Once the boil starts to show up it will start out as a small pimple looking lump.

After a few days that relatively small lump will fill with pus (pus is a combination of dead skin cells, bacteria and blood cells) and will grow bigger and usually look more white than red.

Many people may not realize how many women have a problem with excess facial hair, it’s not something most women like to talk about. There are several ways people can get rid of unwanted hair and one of the best is by using wax. For women who tend to get hair on their upper lip, waxing upper lip can provide long term hair loss and it can be done right at home.

There are several reasons why waxing is a great method for removing unwanted hair, not just unwanted facial hair but from anywhere on the body:

1. Waxing is inexpensive compared with other methods. Even if you opt to go to a salon and get it professionally done, it’s still much less money that having electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments.

2. It is easy enough that you can do it yourself right at home. You can make the wax yourself or buy a kit at your local drug store. Both will be very effective and easy to use.
